Another way to use chia seeds is to make chia pudding which can be enjoyed as breakfast, tea time snack or dessert. You can be as creative as you want with the flavours and go vegan by using nut milk. I have seen them selling chia pudding at Pret for HKD38 a pot so why pay the premium when you can make this in 10 minutes. You can even make it in the office and store it in the fridge overnight. You will have a yummy breakfast waiting for you the next morning. It can’t get any better.

The following makes one cup of chia pudding.

Ingredients for chia pudding base

  • 1/2 cup of milk (you can use any milk you like. I used coconut milk for mine and my other favourite is almond milk)
  • 1/2 tablespoon of maple syrup (you can adjust the sweetness and use whatever sweetener you have on hand)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons of chia seeds

Chocolate chia pudding

  • 1 teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa powder

Matcha chia pudding

  • 1/2 teaspoon of matcha powder

Toppings

Method

  1. Mix together the milk, vanilla extract, maple syrup in a glass container e.g mason jar._DSC5940-2_DSC5943_DSC5944-2_DSC5948-2
  2. Add the chia seeds and cocoa powder or matcha powder to the liquid and stir until well combined. Cover the jar and refrigerate for at least an hour. I like to make it the night before and refrigerate overnight so that I can enjoy it for breakfast or afternoon tea the following day.
  3. When you are ready to serve the chia pudding, add whatever toppings you like. For my chocolate chia pudding, I added chocolate chips and chopped nuts. For the matcha chia pudding, I added some homemade Fig Chia Jam (無花果奇雅子果醬), white chocolate chips, blueberries and chopped nuts._DSC5980-2

都市人咁忙唔係個個有時間一早起身整一個健康嘅早餐。想食健康啲但又無時間不妨試吓整呢個其雅子布丁。其他只係一個好好其雅子除咗用嚟整果醬可以用嚟整甜品例如布丁。材料同步驟都好簡單仲可以係公司前一晚整定跟住放喺公司雪櫃。第二日返到公司就有個健康早餐等緊你。

以下食譜可以整一杯奇雅子布丁。

材料

原味布丁
1/2杯奶 (可以用鮮奶或其他嘅果仁奶例如杏仁奶和腰果奶。如果想龍啲可以用椰奶)
半湯匙楓糖(如果喜歡甜啲可以加多少少楓糖亦可以用蜜糖)
1茶匙雲呢拿香油
2湯匙奇雅子

朱古力味布丁 (原味布丁材料再加以下材料)

1茶匙可可粉

抹茶布丁 (原味布丁材料再加以下材料)

配料

可以用自己喜歡嘅配料例如以下嘅選擇:

切碎果仁
朱古力碎
燕麥
鮮果
果醬
花生醬

步驟

將奶,雲呢拿油和楓糖放在玻璃器皿。攪勻。
如果整朱古力味或沒茶味可以把可可粉或抹茶粉和奇雅子加入奶再攪勻。將玻璃器皿擰緊蓋再放入雪櫃雪1小時或以上。
食之前可以加任何自己喜歡嘅配料在享用。
